K.K. Slider by Makibird-Stitching K.K. Slider by Makibird-Stitching
This was made to celebrate the release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf in the UK. Unfortunately, my PC died so I wasn't able to post it until today.

Get the full sized version at Birdie Stitching and download our other patterns - a new pattern every day of the week! See my journal for terms of use. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook!

I'm new to doing this whole "personalized patterns" stuff, and I'm wondering about size. A lot of the patterns you already have I would love to do, but I would like to know the size of them so I know what I'm heading into, how much farbic is necessary, and size of framing. According to here www.better-cross-stitch-patter…, most patterns are 10 squares to the inch but that differs depending on the thread count of the fabric. So, would this be a 4"x4" pattern, but roughly smaller on 14 count thread? Or am I thinking about this wrong?

If you look at the bottom of the key, the different sizes on different count fabrics are listed. I normally list the size for 14, 16 and 18 count. This is the size of the pattern itself, so add a few inches for edging, framing, etc.

Oh gosh. I feel like such an idiot because I didn't even see that. :faint:
And right, I knew about leaving extra edging space.
I have a couple patterns I want to make myself, so how do you calculate the size?

Use a size calculator, since I'm not very good with maths! Try this one: www.crosstitch.com/calc.html

So cute! He instantly became my favorite character when I played the first Animal Crossing on the GameCube. :D
